Locally Stored Content

Most content generated through our services (including stories, characters, and dialog) is stored locally in your browser and is not collected or stored on our servers. This data remains under your control and is not accessible to us unless you choose to upload it.

Uploaded Content

When you choose to use our upload feature to share content, that uploaded content is stored on our servers and may be made available to other users to view and import. By uploading content, you grant us ownership rights as detailed in our Terms of Use. This uploaded content may be retained even after account termination.

Voice Data

Some features let you record or upload a voice sample, or generate synthesized speech, to give characters a voice. We treat any audio recording, voice sample, or synthesized audio intended to represent a human voice as "Voice Data".

• Stored only in your browser. Voice Data is kept in your browser's local storage. We do not store, retain, or back up Voice Data on our servers.
• Sent to a speech synthesis endpoint to generate audio. When you start a voice generation, your Voice Data is transmitted to the endpoint that serves the voice model you selected. Depending on the model, that is either an inference endpoint we run ourselves on rented cloud GPU infrastructure (such as RunPod) or a third-party AI provider's service, and it is used solely to produce the output you requested. Where a third-party provider is involved, its own privacy policy governs how it handles Voice Data once received, and we do not control its retention.
• What we keep. We retain only operational metadata about each generation request, such as the model used, character count, cost, timestamp, and duration, for billing and analytics. This metadata contains no audio, no voice identifiers, and no character names.
• Your consent. You may only submit a recording of your own voice, or of a voice whose owner has given you explicit consent, as described in our Terms of Use.
• Takedown. If you believe your voice has been recorded, synthesized, or distributed through our services without your authorization, contact us at contact@forgedevworks.com and we will review the request as set out in our Terms of Use.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Process transactions and send related information
• Send administrative messages, updates, and security alerts
• Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
• Understand how users interact with our platform to improve user experience
• Develop new features and services

• Service providers who perform services on our behalf such as content text generation for stories and image generation. For locally stored content, this data is processed and then returned to the user where it is stored exclusively in the user's browser.
• Speech synthesis and voice cloning providers, which receive your Voice Data only to generate the audio you requested. See the Voice Data section above.
• Other users who may view and import content that you have chosen to upload using our upload feature.
• Legal authorities when required by law or to protect our rights.
